Missing Airdrie man's truck located at Lake Minnewanka

Airdrie RCMP is asking for the public's help in locating missing Airdronian Yannick Bastien, 26, who was last seen on the evening of Sept. 21, according to police.

"He had plans to take his canoe to Lake Minnewanka. He has not been heard from since," a Sept. 25 RCMP release stated. "Banff RCMP have recovered his truck and red canoe at Lake Minnewanka, but there is no sign of Yannick."

Banff RCMP is asking recreational users in the area to keep an eye out for anthing that may help locate Bastien.

"If you think you saw him in [the Lake Minnewanka] area in the past few days, please contact Banff RCMP," the release stated.

Bastien is described as Caucasian, approximately five-foot-seven and 175 pounds. He has brown hair, blue eyes, a scruffy beard, and usually wears a plaid shirt and jeans, according to police.
