Police seized 320 marijuana plants, worth about $400,000 from a Sagewood home on Oct. 15.
Three people were arrested at about 2 p.m. when the Airdrie RCMP executed a search warrant in the neighbourhood.
“The Airdrie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) completed an extensive investigation on the residence and was able to successfully obtain a search warrant to enter the house and search the residence,” said Airdrie RCMP Cst. Rob Frizzel.
Police entered the house and arrested 38-year-old Son Thanh Nguyen, 26-year-old Hong Kien Nguten, and 34-year-old Anna Winston, all residents of Airdrie. The three face charges of production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The grow operation filled the entire basement of the residence with varying ages of plants. There were no injuries to the suspects or law enforcement during the execution of this warrant.
