Two men with shirts tied around their faces held up the Best Western Regency Inn with a shotgun, Aug. 14 at about 11 p.m.

The desk clerks were ordered to hand over cash and the pair fled in a red Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Airdrie RCMP and its police dog team were called to the crime scene and eventually found the truck abandoned a short distance away. It’s likely the thieves had a second vehicle waiting at the point of the ditched pickup, according to police.

The first man was described as Caucasian, about 5’10” to 6’ feet tall, heavy-set wearing a grey hoodie, dark Adidas track pants with a white stripe on the legs and black and yellow work gloves.

The second man was said to be Native, 5’10” with a medium build, wearing a dark blue hoodie. The hoodie had a red UFC logo on the upper chest. He was also wearing dark pants and black gloves.

On Sept. 19, at about 1:30 a.m., Airdrie RCMP responded to an alarm call at a business complex located at 400 Main Street. Upon arriving at the scene, it was quickly determined that four businesses had sustained damage to their glass front doors. Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered Nutters, Global Pet Foods, Sushi Haru and Airdrie Office Supplies, stealing a variety of items. The value of the loss is unknown.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, wearing white shoes, a white hat, a black jacket and blue jeans.

If you have information on any unsolved crime, please contact the Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
