Airdrie Rural RCMP is attempting to identify two women who allegedly pointed bear spray at employees of a CrossIron Mills mall store during an armed robbery Feb. 24.
According to a press release, at approximately 8:20 p.m. that evening, the two female suspects entered Tommy Hilfiger where store employees said they observed them placing unpaid merchandise into a bag.
“When they approached the females, one suspect pointed a can of bear spray at the employees,” the release stated. “They then ran from the store.”
According police, the first suspect is described as an Indigenous woman with black and blond hair who was wearing a black jacket. The second is described as a slim Caucasian woman with blond hair who was wearing a black ball cap, blue jeans and a black jacket.
