The Airdrie Techmation Thunder are moving on to the Heritage Junior Hockey League's (HJHL) north division finals, after beating the Mountainview Colts 4-2 in a best-of-seven playoff series.

Last night, the Thunder won game six of their series against Mountainview, downing the Colts 4-1 in Didsbury. Zach Couling, Justin LeGrandeur, and Tyson Sandhu built up a 3-0 lead for the Airdronians in the first two periods, before Mountainview got on the board through an unassisted goal from Haiden Parks. Dylan Westlake then scored an empty-netter for Airdrie in the final minute to see out the victory.

The Thunder will take on the winner of the ongoing series between the Sylvan Lake Wranglers Rocky Rams, in the north division finals, with the winner of the best-of-seven series advancing to the HJHL finals. Sylvan Lake currently leads the series 3-2, with game six taking place this Friday in Rocky Mountain House.
