Our beloved Papa, Ron Graham, passed away on November 17, 2021, at the age of 66 surrounded by his family. Ron was born in BC’s lower mainland and grew up in Delta BC.  He spent many summers working for his uncle on the farm in Saskatchewan and developed a love for the prairie life. He attended post-secondary education at BCIT to become a surveyor and worked for BC Hydro when he graduated. It was while working for BC Hydro in Radium Hot Springs that he met his wife Marnie, who was also working there for the summer. Ron loved flying and got his pilots license in his late teens. In 1978 he also completed his basic commercial license.  He decided in 1979 to return to the University of BC to study Animal Sciences.  Ron worked briefly on several research projects after graduation and then in April of 1984 he, Marnie and one year old daughter Kate moved to Alberta so Ron could take a job with Master Feeds in Calgary.  Ron worked for Superior Feeds, Feedrite and Co-op Feeds in the years to come. In 1990 daughter Julie was born and the family lived at their acreage west of Acme where he lived until his final battle with heart disease. He was never happier than when surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren.  In 1992 Ron had a very damaging heart attack while playing hockey. Over the next 30 years he fought valiantly to overcome all the health issues that cropped up from living with a damaged heart. He was waiting for a heart transplant but unfortunately 8 weeks ago a crisis arose involving open heart surgery and he did not recover from complications after the surgery. His strength, courage, tolerance, and acceptance of everything thrown at him was humbling for his family, friends and medical team.

Ron is survived by his wife Marnie, daughters Kate and Julie and son in law Mike, grandchildren Isaac, Kimberly, Michelle and Gracelyn, His brother Ken (Marlene) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant son Kyle, his mother Lucy, and his father Lloyd.

We will be having a private family memorial to honour Ron.
