KIMBER, Vicki Lou (nee Sanden)

January 19, 1960 – Calgary, Alberta

June 3, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Vicki Kimber (nee Sanden), of Airdrie, AB, beautiful, loving mother of four, and dedicated wife to husband, Richard, passed away in the early hours on Friday, June 3, 2023, at the age of 63 years.

Her short battle with cancer was fought honourably, with stoicism, and grace.

Vicki was born in Calgary, AB, on January 19, 1960. Vicki was the youngest of five, growing up just outside of Cochrane. Her Sanden roots were demonstrated through her pragmatic, and creative approach to life.

She married the love of her life, October 25, 1980. Together they built a home, a business, and a life of their own. As a mother, Vicki was supportive, loving, and selfless, known for her great cooking, and the best hugs. She was a proud grandmother, and humble hostess of many family get-togethers. She was generous with her time and talents; volunteering her artistic skills at her children’s schools, helping fundraise for their extra curricular activities, and supporting her sister-in-law (Linda) with care packages for Women in Need.

Vicki joined the Centreline Manufacturing team as office manager. She played a vital role in its success for the last sixteen years.

Vicki loved Lego, puzzles, art, and interior design. She enjoyed tropical vacations, selling her paintings, and laughs with family.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Richard, her four children Michelle (Jim), Andy, Katie (Garry), and Becky (Steve); As well as her four siblings Carol, Greg (Linda), Deb (Darrell), and Doug; and three grandchildren Jacub, Madison, and Armaan. She was predeceased by her mother, Ruth Sanden (April 2022) and father, Irving Sanden (November 1989). She will be missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at her celebration of life on Saturday, June 24, 2023, any time between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Woodside Seniors Club (411 Woodside Drive NW, Airdrie, AB). Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Vicki Kimber.
