Waite, Howard Charles
November 18, 1938 - May 10, 2024
With sadness we announce that Howard Charles Waite passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 85 years. Howard lived a full life. He will be missed for being a loving and supportive father and grandfather. He grew up and was active in the mixed farming community of Beddington. He attending Dry Creek School. Later in life, he focused on gardening as a hobby. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion #1 Calgary. For entertainment, Howard enjoyed watching hockey and baseball. Most notably, he became involved with, and passionate as a host for many international students. Howard was an avid historian, and active with all of those around him at the Rocky View Lodge. He is survived by three sons, Terry Waite, Brent Waite (Yukari), and Darcy Waite; two grandsons, Samuel and Theodore; elder brother, Glenard Waite (Margaret). Howard was predeceased by his father, Harold Waite and mother, Olga (Bilben) Waite; son, Richard; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A special thank you for the special care that was given by the doctors, nurses and staff of the Peter Lougheed Hospital, Didsbury Hospital, and the Foothills Cardiac Implantable Electrical Device Clinic, as well as the Rocky View Senior’s lodge staff and residents for over the past 13 years.
