LETTERS

From the front page Feb 13th (Rocky View Weekly), "Medical professionals, experts and educators have warned proposed policies ... undermine their fundamental rights and increase risk of harm for affected youth and children." And "... Alberta's proposed policies will make it harder to protect kids from bullying ..."

Increasingly more and more organizations are against this. On several occasions when asked directly about what experts and affected associations were consulted prior to the announcement, the Premier has not answered (Vassy Kapelos, David Cochrane). Arm waving and saying widespread consultation is not accurate enough.

In fact, the Premier insulted a CIS female rugby player by suggesting she was a trans-woman. If social media falsehoods are her source of information, the Premier owes Joanne Lagona an apology. And Albertans.

So perhaps our MLAs, Guthrie and Fir (both Ministers) could inform us constituents as to the consultation they are aware of and where they stand on this policy.

My fear is, as I look at one of our MLA's gleefully signing the Take Back Alberta van, I am left wondering if David Parker owns my vote.
