Airdrie Chamber of Commerce expands board of directors to include RVC representation

The Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce, an organization with 650 members, including 175 operating beyond the borders of Airdrie, announced that it has expanded its board of directors to include three representatives from Balzac.

The Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce, an organization with 650 members, including 175 operating beyond the borders of Airdrie, announced that it has expanded its board of directors to include three representatives from Balzac. 

In a press release, the Airdrie Chamber said the inclusion of three new directors from the Balzac area will "solidify [the Chambers] commitment to inclusivity and comprehensive representation and "signals a new era of partnership and collective action in advancing economic growth and prosperity across the region."

Jerry Cristobal, James Moller, and Colleen Stewart will join the Airdrie Chambers as the three Balzac business leaders. Marilyne Aalhus, the Chambers executive director said "the inclusion of Balzac representation on our Board of Directors is a testament to our dedication to serving the needs and interests of all businesses in our region. We are excited to welcome representatives from Rocky View County and look forward to leveraging their expertise and insights to further our shared goals of economic advancement and regional prosperity."

"It is important for businesses and non-profits who are in the Balzac region of Rocky View County know that our chamber is here to serve them," said AIrdrie Chamber president Shane Groarke. "There is strength in numbers, and we are excited to have our name now showcase the area that we work in. Not only has our name changed, but we are also offering more services and events within the region so that all our members have an opportunity to connect and learn from each other.” 

"The Chamber is proud to serve our region, which includes Airdrie, Balzac, and some in north Calgary, and we see strength derived from our name reflecting our geographical reach. This new chapter opens exciting possibilities for growth, allowing the chamber to expand their programs and services to better serve each member of the chamber community," reads a statement from the Airdrie Chamber.
