Thursday brings much cooler weather across Rocky View County, according to AccuWeather, with the potential for more rain.

Cooler weather is in the forecast for Cochrane, which is expected to reach a high of 14 C today. Skies will be partly sunny, with rain and thunderstorms likely. The evening will be mainly clear and chilly, with an overnight low of 7 C.

Showers and potential thunderstorms are predicted to break up periods of sun and cloud in Kathyrn, bringing a high of 16 C. Patchy clouds will continue overnight, as the temperature cools to 8 C.

Rain is also on the way in Beiseker, where the thermostat could reach a high of 16 C among intervals of sun and cloud. Some cloud cover will dissipate into the evening, and the overnight low is forecast to drop to 8 C.

Residents of the Elbow Valley area can expect partly sunny skies, with a 55 per cent chance of precipitation and the potential for thunderstorm activity. The daytime high is anticipated to hit 15 C before dipping down to a chilly 6 C overnight.
