Cochrane RCMP looking to ID liquor thieves

Cochrane RCMP is seeking assistance in identifying two suspects who stole $372 worth of alcohol June 8 from a liquor store in Cochrane.

The thefts occurred shortly after 6 p.m., according to Cst. Jennifer Brewer, when a male and female suspect entered Safeway Wine and Spirits, and left the store without paying for their items.

The male suspect is described as having dark hair and a goatee. He was dressed in black, with sunglasses on his head. The female suspect has blond hair, and wore black clothing and pink sneakers.

As of June 27, Brewer said, the detachment had received tips from the public, but was still working to confirm the information’s validity.

“We follow each tip we get to the fullest and follow all the investigational avenues,” she said.

“Right now, we don’t have an update, but we are getting information in. We encourage people, if they recognize these two, to give us a call and let us know, so we can follow up on it."
