Friday brings rain and possible snow to Rocky View County

Rain and snow are in the forecast for Rocky View County on Friday, according to AccuWeather.

Thick cloud cover is predicted for Chestermere, which will see a high of 4 C and a couple showers throughout the day. In the evening, the rain will turn to snow, with one to three centimetres accumulating overnight. The low is expected to drop to -4 C, which will feel like -10 C with the wind chill.

Beiseker will see the thermostat climb to a high of 7 C as periods of sunshine break through the clouds, with increasing cloud and some snow expected heading into the evening. The overnight low will dip to -3 C, with a wind chill of -8 C.

In Crossfield, residents can expect some sun in the morning before clouds roll in and showers become a possibility. The daytime high will top out at 4 C, cooling to -4 C overnight as the snow begins to fall, with up to three centimetres predicted. The wind chill will feel like -10 C.

Showers are in the forecast for Redwood Meadows, along with heavy cloud cover and a high of 4 C. The evening is expected to be "very cold," as the temperature drops to -6 C (or -10 C, with the wind chill) and one to three centimetres of snow begins to accumulate.
