Rocky View County to see chilly temperatures on Monday

Rocky View County's forecast for Monday is cold and snowy, according to AccuWeather – with wind gusts of up to 35 kilometres per hour anticipated throughout the area as the day progresses.

Frigid temperatures are expected for the Langdon area, which will see a high of -7 C (or -17 C, with the wind chill). Some flurries are predicted, accumulating to between three and six centimetres throughout the day. Skies will clear into the evening, becoming partly cloudy overnight as temperatures drop to a low of -13 C (-18 C with the wind chill).

Irricana will be cold as well, with a high of -6 C (or -16 C, with the wind chill) and a similar expected snowfall. While skies will clear overnight, the thermostat will dip to -14 C (-17 C with the wind chill). 

"Limited outdoor activity" is recommended for the Madden area, as the temperature climbs to a chilly high of -9 C (or -19 C, with the wind chill). Two to four centimetres of snow is likely to accumulate before skies clear into the evening, when temperatures will fall to a low of -16 C (-19 C with the wind chill). 

In the Springbank area, three to six centimetres of snow is expected, with temperatures reaching -9 C (or -18 C, with the wind chill). The overnight low is anticipated to hit -15 C (-19 C with the wind chill), and residents are advised to remain indoors whenever possible.
