The Airdrie community will get a chance to personally thank local first responders Sept. 8 at airdrieFEST's new Thank You Day. RCMP, EMS, Fire and Bylaw will be stationed at a booth in front of City Hall to say hello.

For the first time in years, Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park is home to American badgers.

The Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation will host the next in its series of Park Talks Aug. 28, at the Nan Boothby Library in Cochrane from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This month, the free presentation will focus on the topic of whirling disease.

Airdrie dads came together in a big way July 31 to donate a total of $40,000 to local organizations. The money was raised by the Airdrie Dads Facebook group, whose 3,200 members put on a charity golf tournament in June.
