RCMP issued a warning on Oct. 7 about John Francis Dionne, 43, a criminal who has moved from Calgary to Linden. RCMP said Dionne has committed “a wide array of offences” that include sexual assaults against females as young as 10.

The Chestermere RCMP has determined that a recent restaurant fire is suspicious in nature. On Oct. 10 at about 11:29 p.m., officers responded to an alarm at the Chestermere Landing Steak House.

Airdrie residents wanted change and made their voices count during this year’s municipal election. About 8,520 residents marked their ballot and just over 4,000, or 47.57 per cent, of those chose Peter Brown for mayor.

Often when I’m in Olds, I run into some of the many great teachers who taught me in my elementary and high school days.

The Airdrie Emergency Services Association and the Airdrie Legion want to make sure residents have a rocking Halloween this year. The two organizations will be hosting a public, adults-only Haunting at the Legion Halloween party on Oct. 29.
