A cost analysis for snow removal service on a two-block section in Langdon will be discussed during Rocky View County's (RVC) 2022 budget deliberations in January.

A Langdon-area pianist and music teacher has received rock star recognition for his artistry after entering an online cover competition which ran during the month of October (Oct. 15 to 31).

The hamlet of Langdon lit it up Dec. 10 to 15 for the second annual Light Up Langdon contest, powered by the Langdon and District Chamber of Commerce.

The Dalemead Quilt Guild’s Comfort Quilt Committee, a coalition of quilters in southeast Rocky View County who make quilts for the greater good, sent out a call to local quilters to donate or sponsor a quilt in support of ICU nurses at South Health Campus.

“It’s just a lot of fun. Everyone really got into it last year. There were a lot of people who put up Christmas lights, and we encouraged people to drive around and look at the lights as well. It’s just an uplifting thing for the community.”

During the 2020-21 school year, a group of elementary school teachers at Sarah Thompson School in Langdon found success with a new way of learning making use of an interactive board game in the style of Dungeons and Dragons.

A Langdon-area equine facility is offering horse-drawn sleigh and wagon rides this holiday season, featuring traditional draft horses and sleigh bells in the snow.

Midfielder Mackenzie Georgsen, of Langdon, was a member of the SAIT Trojans women’s soccer team, who recently placed third at the 2021 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) national championships at Humber College, in Toronto.

Langdonites will soon have a few more recreational amenities to be excited about, as development of new outdoor pickle ball, basketball, and tennis courts are nearing completion.

Former Mötley Crüe vocalist John Corabi will perform at the Langdon Firehouse Bar and Grille on Nov. 20, according to co-owner Greg Thompson, who added the concert will mark Corabi’s second time playing in Langdon, after he previously performed at the Firehouse in June 2019.
