Nanton’s Beau Brooks beat out 29 other bull riders to win Irricana’s rodeo and took home more than $5,200 in prize money, Aug 7. Brooks was second in the first Go-Round with a score of 85.5, first in the finals with an 86.

A local girl is this year’s 2D Youth Champion at the Irvine Tack & Trailers Barrel Racing Series in Crossfield. Angela Cambruzzi, 16, won the championship with her 11-year-old quarter horse Annie in a time of 19.0 seconds.
