Two new faces and three familiar ones will form Irricana’s next Town council, after the municipality confirmed the results of the election on Oct. 19.

The proverbial writ has dropped for the upcoming council elections in north Rocky View County’s municipalities.

Communities in northeast Rocky View County are showing their support for a local family after a motor vehicle collision claimed the life of their nine-year-old son and hospitalized his 14-year-old brother.

Surrounded by rural Rocky View County and the neighbouring communities of Irricana and Acme is a small village often passed by without much notice on a journey to other destinations. While Beiseker may not be thought of as a travel destination hot-spot, the village has some great attractions to travellers passing through this summer, including a historic museum, centennial park, and campground.

While COVID-19 restrictions continue to mean the cancellation or postponement of many events and fundraisers, the Beiseker Lions Club is moving forward with an online auction to support community organizations.
