After a successful inaugural event, the second annual Cars and Country Stars is set to take over northeast Rocky View County on July 23, inviting classic car collectors and country music lovers out for a night of family fun.

“Now that people see how beautiful it’s going to be, people are so anxious and eager to have the trail opened.”

The Village of Beiseker threw a weekend-long celebration for its 100th birthday from June 10 to 12, after having to postpone the festivities last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The celebration included a wedding-themed fashion show, a community parade, show 'n shine, a concert, community dinners, breakfasts, and more.

The fiercely fast foursome had qualified for the Medicine Hat meet after winning the 4x100-m relay at both the Rocky View Schools divisional meet and the subsequent South Central Zones meet.

Airdrie artist Glen Collin attended Beiseker's official opening of their centennial park for the dedication of his 10-by-70-foot mural on the side of Beiseker Pharmacy. The mural was made possible with the help of the Beiseker Station Museum and funds were raised locally by the Centennial committee.
