May 25 was Community Garage Sale Day in Airdrie. Garage sale signs could be seen all over the city as residents used the day to de-clutter or to just sell off some things they didn't need.

George McDougall High School students, parents and faculty came together on May 23 to celebrate Grad 2024 with a bit of Tolkien and a lot of community.

Ambition Performing Arts Inc. has hit a new high score with their routine, but this time, it is a finalist placement in the mentorship category of the 2024 Alberta Business Awards.

Airdrie Foothills Kiwanis is returning for its second Bark in the Park Dog Olympics fundraiser at Nose Creek Park on June 1.

“If you go too hard the first couple flights of stairs, you can definitely tire yourself out quickly,” DeVries said. “I try to pace myself at least the first 25 flights of stairs and then progressively go harder as I get closer to the top.”

The Airdrie and District Hospice Society is holding its 12th Hike for Hospice fundraiser on May 25 to raise funds for the Society’s Compassionate Care Fund, which supports families in need of additional hospice medical support and supplies.

One of the really cool features of the City’s new multiuse and library facility will be dedicated space for displaying artwork.

Kalix Legacy Foundation president John Langeau said participants can expect a fun day of golf alongside celebrities such as Brendan Mikkelson, former Calgary Flames defenceman, and a silent auction will be ongoing throughout the whole weekend. 

The production is riddled with jokes for both young and old, making it a great event for a family outing. 

A local content creator received $12,000 to produce her new show Sour Chat Kids, where kids interview kids while eating sour candies.
